About the Role

On-site analytical role supporting R&D and quality teams at our Newmarket, United Kingdom site. You will develop and validate analytical methods for new product introductions, troubleshoot legacy methods, and characterize complex specialty chemical samples.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods (GC, HPLC, ICP, NMR, titration) for new and existing products
  • Characterize impurities and degradation products to support stability and shelf-life studies
  • Author method validation protocols and reports following ICH Q2 guidance
  • Collaborate with R&D chemists during route scouting and process development
  • Investigate analytical OOS and OOT events and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain laboratory instrumentation including IQ/OQ/PQ documentation
  • Mentor QC technicians on new methods and analytical best practices

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Analytical or Organic Chemistry
  • 3+ years of method development and validation experience in industry
  • Hands-on expertise with HPLC and GC, including method troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with ICH Q2(R1) method validation and pharmacopoeial methods (USP / EP / BP)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom (no visa sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LC-MS, GC-MS, or ICP-MS
  • Familiarity with cGMP-regulated environments
  • Empower or OpenLab chromatography data system experience
  • Spectroscopic interpretation skills (NMR, FTIR, MS)
