Plant Electrician

About the Role

On-site journeyman-level electrician for our Evans City, Pennsylvania plant. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems supporting batch reactors, packaging lines, and utilities. Strong NEC and PLC fundamentals required.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems up to 480 V three-phase
• Install motor controls, VFDs, and instrumentation per electrical and process drawings
• Support PLC and DCS work alongside controls engineers (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell preferred)
• Perform preventive maintenance on transformers, MCCs, and lighting systems
• Maintain accurate electrical drawings and update redlines as installed
• Follow NFPA 70E, arc-flash, and confined-space procedures for all energized work
• Respond to call-outs for unplanned electrical issues during off-hours

Requirements

• Journeyman or Master electrician license (state of Pennsylvania)
• 5+ years of industrial electrical experience, ideally in chemical, food, or pharma
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70E
• Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, and loop diagrams
• Experience with VFDs, motor starters, and 480 V three-phase systems
• Comfortable with arc-rated PPE and lock-out/tag-out procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley RSLogix / Studio 5000)
• Hazardous area (Class I Div 2) electrical experience
• Instrumentation troubleshooting (4–20 mA loops, HART, temperature/pressure transmitters)
• Experience with arc-flash incident energy analysis
