QC Lab Technician

About the Role

On-site role in our Newburyport QC laboratory. You will run analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished product to release them against established specifications. Great entry point into industry analytical chemistry — we train on the specific instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical tests including titration, Karl Fischer, GC, HPLC, and UV-Vis
• Release raw materials, in-process samples, and finished product against written specifications
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Document all results in the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
• Prepare standards, reagents, and mobile phases following SOPs
• Support OOS (out-of-specification) investigations and method troubleshooting
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and chemical hygiene standards

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science
• 0–2 years of laboratory experience (academic lab work counts)
• Comfortable with wet chemistry techniques and basic laboratory math
• Ability to follow detailed written procedures and document results accurately
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to ask questions
• Able to stand at a bench for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HPLC, GC, or other separation techniques
• Familiarity with cGMP or ISO 9001 laboratory environments
• Coursework or co-op experience in analytical chemistry
• LIMS or ELN software experience
