About the Role

Entry-level on-site role coordinating inbound raw material deliveries and outbound finished-product shipments from our Elma, Washington facility. You will work with carriers, customs brokers, and our production team to keep material moving safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming raw material shipments, verify against POs, and route to QC for release sampling
  • Generate shipping documentation including bills of lading, DOT hazmat papers, and commercial invoices
  • Coordinate with FTL/LTL carriers, parcel services, and freight forwarders on pickup windows
  • Perform cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory with ERP records
  • Stage outbound shipments, verify packaging integrity, and confirm placarding for hazardous loads
  • Maintain receiving dock cleanliness and adhere to traffic-pattern safety rules
  • Process returns and short-shipment claims with carriers

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to certify within 90 days)
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications and ability to learn ERP shipping modules
  • Attention to detail with paperwork and inventory transactions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors at the loading dock in all weather

Preferred Qualifications

  • DOT hazmat shipping certification (HM-181 / HM-126F)
  • Experience with SAP or Oracle WMS
  • Familiarity with international shipping documentation
  • Background in chemical or pharmaceutical logistics
